Beginning in 2021

In July of 2021, Marsha Ward began uploading ultra Large Print Editions of the books in the Owen Family Saga.  She referenced “Best Practices and Guidelines” from the American Council of the Blind, as well as “Guidelines for Print Document Design” from The American Printing House for the Blind (APH). The text is aligned left, in 18-point font, 1.5-inch line spacing, with paragraphs separated with a double space, and for the most part, underlined words in place of italics for emphasis. This often results in uneven-facing pages, with sentence fragments at the tops or bottoms of the page. However, the edition is more readable for low vision readers than a regular book.

Because it takes at least two weeks to prepare the text in this format, plus time to prepare the covers using a plain colored background, these large print editions are being released one by one, as demand for them indicates.
