Marsha Ward writes more than just fiction. She created a mashup of nonfiction and fiction with authentic historical recipes from Colonial times on the American Continent through the Westward Migration and the settlement of the West. This volume, From Julia’s Kitchen: Owen Family Cookery, is a delightful foray into more knowledge about the Owen Family. She also collected recipes from writers for a cookbook first published in the 1980s, Rapid Recipes for Writers . . . And Other Busy People.
Well known as a mentor to writers, she contributed to a set of books on writing and publishing. Now she is preparing a series of e-books on how she publishes as an “Indie” (independently publishing) author. The first book of the series is The Checklist: Indie Publishing My Way. In addition, because she needed such tools herself, she is creating log books for indie authors. The first two are POD Upload & Update Log, in two different covers, and Book Cover Production Log, which is also handy for book cover designers. At least two more log books are under production for the Indie Book Management set.
